Clive became a Solicitor in 1980. Clive specializes in representing clients in Criminal proceedings, applications to the Mental Health Tribunal and proceedings with Local Authorities involving children. He is a Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor, and a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Review Tribunal and Children Panel.

Out of work, Clive has been a keen all round sportsman. He was a County rugby player representing both Nottinghamshire and Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. He also played cricket for Collingham. He is now a member of Newark Golf Club and has recently been made a Director of the Golf Club Company.
