For over 120 years, Larken & Co has been part of the Newark community. Over the years our partners and staff have made an important contribution to the life of local organisations. You can find out more through the links provided.

Award Winners

Larken & Co have been pronounced the winners of the ‘Best in Training & Developing Employees’ Business Award for 2003 by Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.

Dragon Boat Challenge

dragonboat

As part of the 2004 Newark Water Festival, we entered a team into the boat race. This required a crew of 10 plus a drummer to row a 30ft, brightly coloured boat along the River Trent which runs alongside Newark’s historic Castle.

We had a great deal of fun whilst also raising money for charity.

Charity Abseil

Lindsey Roberts (Reception), Jo-Anne Fryer (Civil Litigation Dept) and Clive Rossin (Partner) all braved the heights of the Newton Building in Nottingham so they could abseil down it. They raised over £400 for the RNIB but aren’t sure they'd be brave enough do it again!

Newark Heritage Week
Larken & Co is supporting the 2004 Heritage Week. The aim of this being to promote Newark’s quality and range of historic buildings by providing free access to local facilities which normally make a charge or have restricted access.
Magnus School

We are constantly up-grading our computers and this has resulted in a significant number of PC boxes being unused. Instead of these going to waste, we donated them to the local Magnus School for their use.

We have also recently donated 3 microscopes to the School.
